Onomatopoeia around the world

The two books explore onomatopoeia in different languages, focusing on the words 'bang' and 'woof'. This was inspired by the Bow Wow Theory which states that language originated from imitating sounds in the environment. The visual style is inspired by the original medium of onomatopoeia; comic books. This is demonstrated through typography and illustration.
